40sWalkersNorth

A very friendly walking group based in the North of England

I couldn't help but feel responsible for the weather, as it happened I had no need to worry a couple of showers and then mostly dry with some sun. The walk was as described in the walk description plus a wobbly bridge. An extended pub stop and even some retail therapy by the end of the day, thanks to Shirley! I do like Grassington!! no mugs today though.

The usual fabulous company, loads of chatter leading to me nearly leaving three behind! ( I blame Jane) ( thanks Jay).
Thanks to Paul and Judith, Shirley and Ken, Kev and Trish, Chris, Jay and Jane, Tim and Janet and of course little trooper Rory for braving the rain and getting out of bed to join me. Thanks to Kev for keeping me on the straight and narrow.

Thanks Angela for putting the walk on and making us get up even if it was pouring with rain at the time - but the clouds soon parted and a good day was had by all ( even if I did nearly lose my other half!).

Thanks from us as well for a lovely day out and getting us away from the rain. According to our village shop lady it poured down all day in Kirkby Lonsdale. Parkin AND date & walnut cake .... delicious .... thank you!

Thanks to everyone else as well for their company, it was great to see you all again

Great walk Angie - you're now a fully fledged walk leader, so no excuses in the future (particularly when you are able to conjure up good weather). We really enjoyed the day out, and the pub, although we managed to avoid the retail therapy!
